Sadie is a remarkable teacher. Her ability to craft a class round the needs of the students present allows each class to be uniquely fulfilling. As a certified personal trainer, I appreciate her tremendous knowledge of the body and her ease with integrating mini-anatomy lessons into the class. She is a skilled facilitator, understanding that her role is to create opportunities for us to communicate (listen, especially) with our bodies on a deeper level than we ordinarily would. Her ability to simultaneously be real and lighthearted, challenging and honest has created an atmosphere of growth and balance for the whole class. Few classes have such an ardent following as Sadie's class. I've now studied yoga for eight years, but my growth has simply skyrocketed since taking Sadie's class. We will miss her deeply, but we are all standing on a more solid foundation because of her teaching.

As the Senior Systems Engineer at an IT consulting company, stress is a part of my job. I often walk into situations where a customer is in a panic, and I'm expected to calmly evaluate and resolve the issue at hand. Were it not for Sadie's yoga class, I would find this difficult to manage, as her yoga sessions give me a relaxed focus that I sorely needed. In fact, the benefits of her class are so obvious that my manager actively encourages me to take her class twice a week, even though with travel time that translates to a 2 hour lunch break. Sadie has been a great gift for me, and I envy anyone with opportunity to practice under her guidance.
